FOX Seeks Permanent NYC Owner Waiver

It’s had a permanent waiver of the newspaper-broadcast cross-ownership rule as it pertains to the ownership of New York’s FOX affiliate and a daily newspaper founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801.


Now, FOX Corporation wants its second TV station in New York to also be covered by a permanent waiver — even as the Supreme Court considers the FCC’s appeal of the Third Circuit remand of its cross-ownership rules that would have permitted such a situation, no questions asked.
