FOX Renewals Finalized For Gray Television

With Gray Television shares declining on Tuesday, the continued poor performance on Wall Street for the company overshadowed news that greatly impacts viewers of NFL games and the 90210 reunion mini-series.

The company has reached an agreement with the Fox Television Network that extends and renews the network affiliations for all of Gray’s FOX affiliates.

The deal ensures that there will be no “great affiliation swaps” in 21 markets.

This includes WFLX-29 in West Palm Beach, which is operated by The E.W. Scripps Co. via a joint sales agreement and see Scripps’ WPTV-5 run its news operation.

The biggest stations involved are WXIX-TV in Cincinnati; WBRC-TV in Birmingham; WVUE-8 in New Orleans; and KNIN-TV in Boise, Idaho. The other stations are in markets ranked below No. 100 by Nielsen.
