Airing THE X FACTOR from 8-9:30pm and a special RAISING HOPE from 9:30-10pm, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.


THE X FACTOR: 3.9/11, retaining 100% of last Wednesday’s 8-9:30p rating among Adults 18-49.

Last night’s THE X FACTOR ranked No. 1 in its 8-9:30pm timeslot among Adults 18-49 and grew +14% among young adults 18-34 from last Thursday’s telecast: Note for its first two weeks THE X FACTOR increased two-tenths of a rating point in the afternoon finals.

FOX has now won 22 consecutive Wednesday nights in-season in the core adult demo — the most for any network in at least 20 years.

Competition

ABC aired The Middle (2.7/9, flat), new comedy Suburgatory (3.0/8, down -9% vs. last week’s debut), Modern Family (5.6/14, down -2%) and Happy Endings (2.9/7, down -6%) from 8-10p. Through two weeks, Happy Endings has retained only 53% of its Modern Family lead-in, down from Cougar Town’s comparable retention last season (63%). At 10p, week three of new drama Revenge (2.5/7) dipped -7% from last Wednesday.

On CBS, Survivor: South Pacific (3.1/9, down -3%) posted its lowest rating so far this season, and through four weeks is down -16% versus Survivor: Nicaragua’s performance last fall (3.2/9 vs. 3.8/12). Criminal Minds (3.8/10) was up +6% at 9p and CSI closed out the night at a 2.9/8, down -6%.

Following Up All Night (2.2/7, up +5%) and Free Agents (1.0/3, flat), NBC’s Harry’s Law (1.2/3, flat) matched its lowest original rating ever. Law & Order: SVU posted a 2.1/5 at 10p, flat with last week but through three weeks is down -27% from its comparable performance last fall (2.2/6 vs. 3.0/8).
