WASHINGTON, D.C. — He previously worked in the Audio Division of the FCC’s Media Bureau under its chief, Al Shuldiner. Now, he is the newest Associate Attorney at Inside-the-Beltway communications law firm Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth.
Taking the role is Ryan McClafferty, a Dartmouth College college and University of Virginia Law School graduate.

As an Attorney Advisor in the Audio Division, McClafferty he drafted rulemaking orders and adjudicatory decisions on complex broadcasting and media matters. In fact, McClafferty’s work at the Commission earned him a Special Achievement Award for exceptional legal analysis and writing. His practice at Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth will focus on telecommunications regulatory matters and transactions, media law, and FCC compliance.
Prior to his FCC service, McClafferty served as an Associate Attorney at Steptoe LLP, where he had been a summer associate and, prior to that, a legislative assistant.
