TORONTO — The parent company of Bell Media, which partners with iHeartMedia in Canada in the operation of several of its radio stations, has revealed that it is undertaking the “largest workforce restructuring initiative in 30 years.”
This will see the elimination of some 4,800 positions, driving in-year cost savings of $150 million CDN-$200 million CDN as CTV network newscasts get cut and some 45 radio stations in four provinces are spun to new owners.
