Jay and Teresa Bunyard’s Carroll County Broadcasting Inc. is picking up a station to go with their KUOA-AM Fayetteville AR, and are prepared to pay over $1M to do so. The station is KAKS-FM Huntsville AR.

There will be additional overlap with the Bunyard’s KHTS-FM Berryville, although the latter station is not considered to be part of the Fayetteville market.

According to broker Bill Whitley of Media Services Group, the full price will be $1.11M. $111K is being put into escrow to seal the deal.

Whitley says the Bunyard’s Arkansas radio group is already 16-stations strong.

The seller is Davidson Media Group, headed by Felix Perez. Davidson has been running a Hispanic format on the station.

Davidson acquired the station in a deal filed 12/23/04. The price commanded by seller Butler Broadcasting Company back then, as specified in the contract, was $3.9M.
