Merlin Media CEO Randy Michaels confirms his New York VP Programming Liz Aiello is out at WEMP-FM after being tapped for the broadcaster last June. She was previously the managing editor and executive producer at WABC-TV, GM of radio at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and news director for the Howard Stern channel on Sirius. Merlin also let COO Walter Sabo go last month.

Vice President of Production Jerry Rohira and Senior Director of Digital Programming Rich McLaughlin have also left the company. They were hired by Sabo to execute a different vision.

Merlin has also been adding vignettes as of late—no word if the moves were driven by Aiello, or perhaps Michaels is taking a more hands-on approach to the station. Merlin is currently adding Lionel and “Clark Howard Minutes” from Dial Global.
