FM action in the low power zone

An application to transfer an LPFM station arrived at the FCC recently, sending the station from one religious group to another. The station provides service to a portion of the Eau Claire WI market.

WJLM-LP Altoona WI is going from Eau Claire Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School, headed by Richard Bauer, to Otter Creek Christian Radio Inc.. Whitney Schauer signed off on the deal for the assignee.

OCCR cannot accurately be called a buyer, because it is against the law to buy and sell LPFMs. WJLM is being transferred from one non-profit to another for no consideration.

The station beams 100 Watts from 19’ HAAT on 96.9 MHz. Its contour covers the eastern portion of Eau Claire.
