A pair of stations in Blountstown FL are headed to a new owner who, among other things, will stop running commercials on the facilities.
The stations are WYBT-AM and WPHK-FM.
The seller is Blountstown Communications Inc., headed by President Mary Catherine W. Hagan.
The buyer is Divine Word Communications, headed by Gene and Jeaniene Church.
The price is $500,000 cash. Half was paid upon signing the transfer documents, with the rest due at closing.
DWC is a non-profit, and will convert this combo to noncom status. It owns AM, FM and FM translators in numerous Florida and Alabama locations.
WYBT-AM is a Class D on 1000 kHz with kW-D, ND.
WPHK-FM is a Class C3 on 102.7 MHz with 13 kW @ 318’.
The stations are located due west from Tallahassee and to the northeast of Panama City.
