A presently dark 250-watt FM translator using a tower site sandwiched between fast-growing Bartow and bustling Lakeland, Fla., is the latest property Ferris Waller has agreed to obtain, adding to a mix of stations across the Sunshine State’s interior.
WALCO Enterprises, led by Waller, over the last several years has purchased AMs in Bushnell, Avon Park, Cypress Gardens, Winter Haven and Lakeland. The Avon Park facility includes an FM translator giving the Highlands County property a bit of “AM revitalization.”
Now, Waller is agreeing to acquire W260DA at 99.9 MHz in Bartow.
A $10,000 purchase price has been agreed to by WALCO and the seller, Prime Broadcasting Inc., owned by Denisse Hernandez.
Hernandez’s legal counsel is Frank Montero of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth.
The legal representative for Waller is The Law Office of Dan J. Alpert.
