FCC’s ‘Part 76’ Regulations Get A Verbal Shave

More than eight years ago, pro-MVPD lobby ACA Connects asked the FCC to abolish or modify a host of cable television industry regulations it believed are no longer necessary or are unduly burdensome, particularly for smaller operators. Among the requests was a review of several redundant and outdated recordkeeping and public inspection file rules, including the requirement to maintain a hard copy of “Part 76.”


The group’s wish has been granted.
