WASHINGTON, D.C. — The FCC’s lone Democratic votemaker has cheered the filing in D.C. Circuit Court on Tuesday of a lawsuit against the Commission by The Walt Disney Company on behalf of ABC Owned Stations.
ABC claims its early license renewal proceeding for the broadcast properties and a consideration of The View as a “bona fide” news show free of equal time rules is a First Amendment violation. Anna M. Gómez could not agree more.
