All federal agencies have been asked to develop contingency plans in the event the government partially closes.
Though congressional leadership seems to be working toward passage of a stop-gap measure to keep the government funded temporarily, if that doesn’t pass, a partial shutdown would occur Oct. 1 due to a lapse in congressional appropriations.
