WASHINGTON, D.C. — For 10 years, Lynne Montgomery worked on satellite policy and licensing matters at the FCC, including the allocation of licensed and unlicensed spectrum resources, transfers of FCC licenses and the review of GSO and NGSO satellite applications.

Now, she’s been upped to Partner at one of the nation’s leading communications law firms.

The promotion of Montgomery comes at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, where the firm says she has developed “a stellar reputation as a satellite law expert and thoughtful advocate.”

Montgomery has been at WBK since 2016.

“Lynne has developed a stellar reputation as a satellite law expert and thoughtful advocate during her tenure at the firm and her distinguished FCC career,” said WBK Managing Partner Bryan Tramont. “Equally important, Lynne is a key contributor to WBK’s culture and team. She has a bright future, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.”

At the FCC, Montgomery served as a legal adviser in the Media Bureau from June 2015-October 2016. Prior to that, she spent nearly 6 years in the Satellite Division as an international bureau attorney adviser. She came on board at the FCC in September 2006 as an attorney adviser in the consumer and governmental affairs bureau.
