FCC Slaps TV Licensees for Exceeding Ad Limits

FCCThe FCC admonished three licensees for not complying with the limits ads on children’s television programming.


Letters signed by Media Bureau Video Division Bureau Chief Barbara Kreisman went out to the licensees of: WHDH-TV, Boston, WPXI-TV, Pittsburgh and WLBZ-TV, Bangor, Maine.

The amount of ads that may be aired during children’s programming is 10.5 minutes per hour on weekends and 12 minutes per hour on weekdays.

All three licensees have applied for license renewal.
