Castelli Media, the low-power TV station licensee led by Vincent Castelli, has received regulatory approval for a deal announced in September that sees the sale of a low-power television station in Santa Barbara, Calif., by the LPTV entrepreneur.
This puts the wheels in motion on the closing of Castelli’s sale of K35PJ-D in Santa Barbara, a TV translator facility using a tower from a peak above this bucolic Central Coast city.
The buyer is Florida-headquartered Fair Play Broadcasting, led by Kristina Bruni. It is paying $150,000 to acquire K35PJ-D in Santa Barbara.
A 10% downpayment was made to Castelli; there is no broker or finder associated with this deal.
Castelli acquired the LPTV property in November 2022 as part of a three-facility construction permit acquisition from DTV America 1.
Bob Heymann of Media Services Group served as the broker in that transaction of nearly two years ago.
