FCC Media Bureau Seeks Input On Vacant FM Signal Shift

In March 2025, its 3kw Class A FM signal was silenced, another sign that a Docket 80/90 addition to the FM Table of Allotments proved to bring financial challenges to signals added during the early 1990s. One year later, that station’s owner — Cumulus Media — requested the Michigan FM’s license cancellation be processed by the FCC.

Now, on its on volition, the Commission seeks to update its Table of FM Allotments for Whitehall, Mich., by shifting that former station’s available frequency for another one.

Interestingly, it would resolve interference concerns raised with Cumulus when this FM was still on the air.
