FCC Holds Action On FM Sideband HD Radio Power Boost

A vote by all five Commissioners at the September Open Meeting on a plan that would streamline the process for allowing digital transmissions at different power levels on the upper and lower digital sidebands never happened. That’s because, one day before the session, a First Report and Order was issued based on the unanimous consent of the FCC’s vote makers.


But, to be clear, it acted solely on one group of proposals while deferring action on a proposal relating to maximum FM digital power levels.
