As Anticipated, FCC Adopts Plan for 2027 C-Band Auction

WASHINGTON, D.C. — It is a decision that was largely anticipated, and will impact to some degree broadcast radio and television stations across the U.S. In a vote that saw Democratic FCC Commissioner Anna Gómez dissent in part, the three-member agency on Thursday moved ahead with rules establishing the auction of 160 MHz of spectrum in the Upper C-Band by July of next year.
