On TuesdayRBR+TVBR shared the news that a Class A FM in the tiny city of Jersey Shore, Pa., west of Williamsport, was being acquired by Family Life Ministries. Now, the parent of Family Life Radio is moving forward with the purchase of a Class A FM that can be heard in the Harrisburg, Pa., area.

WQLV-FM 98.9 in Millersburg, Pa., presently airing a Hot Adult Contemporary format and serving an area to the north of Pennsylvania’ state capital, is being sold to Family Life for $300,000.

The seller is Cooper Communications, led by Richard L. Cooper.

With the sale, nearly 34 years of service as a commercially licensed FM will come to an end, with Family Life’s Christian-themed mix of spoken word and Worship Music programming coming to WQLV with the transaction.

It’s also a notable push south for Family Life, making WQLV its southernmost FM signal, with a concentration of service in Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York.

Serving as the broker in this transaction is Roger Rafson, who recently joined Media Services Group.

Acting as the buyer’s legal counsel is Joe Chautin III of Hardy, Carey, Chautin & Balkin.
