ABC, FOX, CBS, Media Rights Capital (MRC), CW, NBC and HBO will all be on hand for the third installment of the New York Television Festival. The event, known as Premiere Week, allows networks to “…introduce their new Fall shows with the hottest buzz to trendsetting New York audiences," says NYTVF founder Terence Gray. ABC, Fox and NBC have participated all three times, while HBO, CBS and MRC are rookies.

Among the shows getting a first look are "Life on Mars” (ABC), "Fringe” (Fox), "Worst Week” (CBS), "Easy Money” (CW/MRC), "Life" (NBC) and "The Life and Times of Tim" (HBO). The event runs from Friday to Wednesday, 9/12/08-9/17/08, at the New World Stages in Midtown Manhattan. Ticket info is available at nytvf.com by clicking Box Office.

RBR/TVBR observation: 99 times out of 100 there is no such thing as bad publicity. So if we were launching a new show, we’d love to find a launching pad in The Big Apple. Of course, if it’s a show like one of those movies that is destined for the local 99 cents or less store, the extra exposure may be another matter.
