She joined the DuJuan McCoy-owned Circle City Broadcasting some six years ago as Content Manager for The CW affiliate serving Indianapolis and in 2023 advanced to News Brand Manager. Two years later, she was named Assistant News Director. Now, she’s the new News Director for WISH-8.

Erika Facey has earned the promotion. She commented, “I’m looking forward to this next chapter of my career and the responsibility that comes along with it. I am also very happy to have this chapter at a legacy news TV station like WISH-TV.”

From 2014-2019, Facey was Manager of News Coverage for TEGNA’s WXIA “11Alive” in Atlanta. For the previous five years, she served as a newsgathering manager, rising from a news assignment manager at WXIA. Facey joined the station in 1998 as an executive producer focused on special projects, rising to Planning Manager in 2001.

Facey began her career in the Domestic/Foreign News Desk of NBC News in New York in 1992, and from 1996 through January 1998 was News Manager of WUSA9 in Washington, D.C.

In related news, WISH-8 has named Adam Krent its Asst. ND. He was previously Executive Producer of the station’s evening newscasts and principal instructor of WISH-TV’s Media Producing Program.
