NBC Universal is making such a big deal of its Beijing Olympics coverage that even “Access Hollywood” is going to originate from the Chinese capital for more than two weeks in August as the Olympics take place. NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution says Access Hollywood will be the first entertainment news program to broadcast from inside China.

Access Hollywood co-anchor Billy Bush, who has covered the 2004 Olympic Summer Games in Athens, Greece, as well as the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, is set to co-host Access Hollywood’s coverage of the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, alongside weekend co-anchor and correspondent Shaun Robinson.

The show will feature behind-the-scenes moments and exclusive interviews with the stars of the Summer Games, both athletes and celebrities alike.   Bush and Robinson will be exploring China’s rich culture and history, including an exclusive broadcast from The Great Wall of China. In addition, Access Hollywood plans to showcase Beijing’s hottest fashion trends, the nation’s celebrity culture, as well as hot spots during the Summer Games.
