That’s five hours of ESPN Radio midday programming: The Herd with Colin Cowherd (10 a.m.-1 p.m. ET) and The Scott Van Pelt Show (the first two hours of the 1-4 p.m. broadcast) will be simulcast on ESPNEWS beginning 9/12.

ESPNEWS adds to current simulcasts: The Herd, airing on 383 ESPN affiliates nationwide, is currently simulcast on ESPNU, while The Scott Van Pelt Show, on 363 stations, is seen on ESPN2.

ESPNews, launched in 1996, is ESPN’s 24-hour-a-day sports news TV network.

“The opportunity to have our mid-day and afternoon programming simulcast on the same network will benefit our radio ‘viewers’ who will be able to find Colin and Scott in one place,” said Mo Davenport, SVP/ESPN Audio. ”ESPN Radio programming on ESPNEWS is a combination that will provide fans strong opinion with the latest news and information they’ve come to expect.”

The Herd debuted in 2004 on ESPN Radio, and has been simulcast on ESPNU since 2008. The Scott Van Pelt Show debuted on ESPN Radio with an ESPN2 simulcast in 2009.
