The recent ending of The John Thompson Show w/ Doc Walker, which aired its last episode on 2/29 of this year, left Zebra Broadcasting’s WTEM-AM DC with a hole to fill in the 2-4pm time slot. That slot has been filled.
Starting this Monday, 3/26, Inside the Locker Room with Doc Walker and Brian Mitchell will begin on ESPN 980 (980am, 94.3fm, 92.7fm). The show will team former Washington Redskin Rick “Doc” Walker and former Redskin Brian Mitchell along with veteran talk show host Scott Jackson.
Mitchell has been hosting The Brian Mitchell Show on various outlets for the last six years. Brian also co-hosts a nightly television program on Comcast SportsNet. Brian is returning to 980 after a four-year absence.
Scott Jackson, Mitchell’s co-host on The Brian Mitchell Show worked at WTEM for seven years in the early 2000s. Jackson served in many roles including the station’s NBA insider and analyst.
Inside the Locker Room can be heard 2pm-4pm, Monday-Friday on ESPN980 WTEM, 92.7FM and 94.3FM and streaming live on ESPN980.com.
