SANTA MONICA, CALIF. — Media and advertising technology company Entravision, which maintains a broadcast radio and television station stable focused on the U.S. Hispanic community, has named a new SVP/GSM for its Los Angeles-area properties.

As publicly traded Entravision sees it, Eduardo Maytorena will bring to his new role “an extensive and accomplished track record in driving revenue growth, creating impactful campaigns, and leading diverse teams across the media, entertainment, and advertising industries.”

He reports to Chief Revenue Officer Juan Navarro, who lauded Maytorena for his “extensive experience, creative vision, and dedication to serving the Latino community.”

Maytorena is a former General Sales Manager for Spanish Broadcasting System’s Los Angeles radio stations, rising from Local Sales Manager, a position he earned in September 2019, and Senior Account Executive, a role he took in May 2018.

Previously, Maytorena served as a Partner for Mezcalifornian Films as Co-Writer, Director and Producer of independent feature films. From 2010 to 2018 he served as Creative Sales Director of KXOS-FM “Radio Centro 93.9” in Los Angeles (now Meruelo Media-owned KLLI), and has also served as the Creative Sales and Marketing Director of Spanish-language tabloid Hoy, once a sibling to the Los Angeles Times under Tribune ownership.

Speaking of his new role, Maytorena said, “I have always admired Entravision’s commitment to connecting with the diverse tapestry and communities that make up Los Angeles and I am incredibly privileged to lead [sales]. Together, we will amplify local voices, drive unparalleled results for our advertising partners, and ensure that brands not only reach but truly connect with our dynamic audience across all channels.”
