emmanuelRaymond Lauring’s Emmanuel Communications’ WNEB 1230AM Worcester Massachusetts, is poised to purchase Money Matters Radio Inc.’s WESO 970 AM in Southbridge. By the end of August, pending the sale and approval from the FCC, WESO will simulcast WNEB and reach listeners in south Central Massachusetts and northeast Connecticut.

“I don’t know what they are looking for when they tune in, but I know what they get,” Lauring told The Telegram & Gazzette. “They get the teachings about the Gospel, about life, and what is expected of us in this life, how we respond and ways we can respond, and to be kind to one another.”

Lauring formed Emmanuel Communications in 2008, and purchased WNEB 1230 AM in 2011. The station became an affiliate of EWTN in February 2011 and went on the air in May 2011.

He is well-known in the area for founding a successful construction company, Lauring Construction of Worcester.

Emmanuel Radio broadcasts 24/7, with programming from EWTN in Alabama. Popular programs include “Catholic Answers,” a daily, live call-in show for Catholics and non-Catholics to discuss the church today hosted by Patrick Coffin; “The Doctor is In” with Dr. Ray Guarendi and Dr. Colleen Kelly Mast addressing personal and family issues; daily Mass; and the Holy Rosary.
