An asset exchange agreement has just been filed with the FCC that will bring Educational Media Foundation a signal in the famous home of Jack Daniels whiskey, Lynchburg, Tenn.
In exchange, EMF is parting ways with a Class C3 station in Mississippi.
The station EMF is adding to its stable is WKTH-FM 88.5, a Class A facility licensed to Tullahoma, Tenn. This station covers Lynchburg and the surrounding area.
To get the station, EMF is trading to Joy Christian Ministries Church 25kw WLYJ-FM 98.9 in Quitman, Ms., a station due south of the Meridian, Ms., area.
There is no cash consideration in this deal.
As is the case with most deals involving EMF, Paige Fronabarger of Wilkinson Barker Knauer served as the legal counsel in this transaction.
