El Paso Radio Trio Faces License Revocation As HDO Emerges

0

A Hearing Designation Order has been sent to the parties involved in a transfer of control of a trio of El Paso radio stations serving Spanish-language audiences in the West Texas city — a deal engineered in June 2023 that involved a petition seeking the FCC’s OK to put 100% ownership in the hands of a Mexican citizen.

For Acting Media Bureau Chief Erin Boone, the HDO involves a situation so severe, the revocation of the three stations’ licenses is sought — unless there’s a compelling argument not to proceed with that order.
