Randolph and Debra McKone have three FM stations serving residents in the northeast corner of Oregon. Now they have a deal to extend their reach further to the south.
The stations being acquired are KJDY-AM John Day OR and KJDY-FM Canyon City OR.
The seller is Blue Mountain Broadcasting Company Inc., headed by President Phil Gray.
The McKone acquisition license company is KKDY LLC.
The price is $405,000. There will be a $50,000 cash deposit and a 15-year promissory note for the remaining $355,000.
$25,000 is allocated to fixed assets, and $380,000 is allocated to goodwill, with a maximum of $5,000 attributable to a non-compete agreement.
KJDY-AM is a Class C on 1400 kHz with 1 kW-U, ND.
KJDY-FM is a Class C0 on 94.5 MHz with 39 kW @ 1,365’.
The deal also includes K229AX John Day OR.
The buyers have interests in three FM stations located further to the north, including KCMB-FM Baker City, KWRL-FM La Grande and KVBL-FM Union, all Oregon.
