He joined Beasley Media Group in 1991 and presently runs its Augusta, Ga., radio stations as President and Market Manager. Come June 6, he’ll be celebrating his last day on job, with retirement his next adventure.
For Kent Dunn, it concludes a career that has seen him lead Beasley’s radio stations in Tampa-St. Petersburg, and in Fayetteville, N.C.
As Beasley sees it, “His visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and deep care for his teams have left an indelible mark on the company and the industry.”
Commenting on his step away from everyday duties for Beasley, Dunn commented, “After much thought and reflection, I’ve made the decision to retire and begin the next chapter of my life. Beasley Media Group has been more than just a workplace—it’s been my extended family. I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent over 30 years doing what I love, with people I deeply respect and admire. It’s been an absolute privilege to work with late company Founder George Beasley, and with Caroline, Brian and Bruce [Beasley] over the years.”
Caroline Beasley, today the CEO of the publicly traded company, said Dunn’s contributions to the company and to the radio industry “have been nothing short of exceptional. His strategic insight, collaborative spirit, and passion for radio have guided teams and inspired generations of broadcasters. We are deeply grateful for his decades of service and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”
