No, we’re not talking about stations tied in some way to Bobby Vinton but, rather, the town of Vinton, Va. Here, an AM radio station with an FM translator are heading to a new owner, pending FCC approval.
WKBA-AM 1550 and W226CN at 93.1 in Vinton are being sold to Backroads Radio LLC.
The seller is Tinker Creek Broadcasters, and they stand to earn $100,000 from the sale of the radio properties.
A 10% escrow payment has been made and is being held by Brooks Pierce, as escrow agent.
The seller’s group is led by David Moran; the buyer is led by Brian Sizer.
