Dueling Eds freshen coverage

Yeah, yeah, the 2008 campaign is still the top story, but it dipped under the 25% mark overall, and came in #2 on the online chart and #3 on the newspaper chart, according to the Project for Excellence in Journalism report on news focus during the week of 8/4/08-8/10/08.


The Olympics, developments in the anthrax case (and related additional focus on domestic terrorism), and foreign affairs stories held their own. Speaking of affairs, that’s what one of the Ed stories was about – we refer to former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC). The second Ed was a weather story about Tropical Storm Edouard.
