Blizzard Broadcasting is establishing itself in the Colorado ski resort community, and the closing on KBCR AM-FM is only the start. Broker: Jody McCoy, Media Services Group.
According to McCoy, the acquisition of the AM-FM combo from Cool Radio, LLC is complete.
The purchase price is $500,000.
Also in the mix is the acquisition of KTYV-FM from Ramsey Leasing Inc. for $125K.
And this just in at the FCC – Blizzard is also buying KEZZ-FM from Youngers Colorado Broadcasting LLC. That deal is coming in at $100K cash.
So the total Steamboat Springs radio investment is $725K for an AM and three FMs.
Here are how the facilities shake out:
* KBCR-AM is a Class C on 1230 kHz with 1 kW-U, ND
* KBCR-FM is a Class C2 on 96.9 MHz with 27.5 kW @ 666’
* KTYV-FM is a Class A on 98.9 MHz with 800 W @ 600’
* KEZZ-FM is a Class C2 on 94.1 MHz with 1.75 kW @ 1,247’
