As part of what the company said in an internal memo obtained by RBR+TVBR are “ongoing efforts to align our operating structure with current and emerging opportunities in the marketplace,” the Multi-Market Partnerships Group (MMP) at iHeartMedia is evolving, resulting in a fresh name for a unit under a new leader.
As such, the MMP is transforming itself into “a more integrated business unit,” now known as the Enterprise Business Development Group.
Julie Donahue, who served as MMP President, will hold similar duties for the EBD.
Donahue is a 23-year veteran of iHeartMedia, and played a key role in launching strategies like Platinum+, Strategic Sales Initiatives and the SDR program. CEO Bob Pittman and COO/CFO Rich Bressler say the EBD’s creation “is a key step in strengthening iHeartMedia’s ability to maximize performance and drive long-term success.”
Specifically, Donahue is charged with overseeing the alignment of MMP, Inside Sales, Unified Partnerships and Political under one umbrella. “This reflects Julie’s exceptional leadership and her proven ability to identify and cultivate both new business opportunities and sales talent across the organization, and will enable us to better serve our partners, accelerate growth and unlock incremental opportunities at scale,” Pittman and Bressler remarked in the internal memo distributed on August 19.
Julie will work closely with Conal Byrne, CEO of the Digital Audio Group; Lisa Coffey, Chief Business Officer; and the sales leadership, including Ann Marie Licata, President, Markets Group and Sales Operations; Bernie Weiss, COO, Markets Group; Paul Corvino, who oversees a special team on major new business development; Carter Brokaw, Chief National and Digital Revenue Officer; Jenna Craig, President of National Media; and Adrienne Pabst, President of Strategic Partnerships.
