A veteran radio programming leader has launched a media consulting firm dedicated “to developing and growing strong brands that stand out and win in a complex media landscape.”
Don Parker, known for his work at radio stations in California, has hung his shingle on Parker Brand Strategies.
The consultancy aims to specialize in Brand Creation; Brand Building; Turnarounds; and programming needs.
“Media brands are as much about connection as they are about content,” Parker said. “Whether it’s creating a new brand from scratch or turning around a legacy station, my mission is to help companies build brands that matter—brands that consumers and advertisers truly identify with and believe in.”
Parker’s resume includes roles as Sr. VP/Programming at iHeartMedia in San Francisco; he exited in September 2025, ending a nearly 16-year run at the company. From 2000-2005 he was VP/Programming for NextMedia Group, and from February 1998 through July 2000 served as Program Director of AM/FM Inc.’s Rhythmic Oldies KCMG “Mega 100” in Los Angeles. Before that, Parker served as PD of KKFR “Power 92” in Phoenix, among other stations including former Alternative KEDG “103.5 The Edge” in Las Vegas.
