Dominion Settlement Doesn’t Hurt Fox Corp. Credit Quality

To avoid litigation, Fox Corp., which has a S&P Global Ratings “BBB/Stable” grade, in April settled its defamation lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems Corp. for $787.5 million in damages.


The settlement removes the prospect of a trial that could have resulted in more significant monetary damages and increased operating uncertainty at Fox News. And, S&P says, the settlement leaves Fox Corp.’s credit quality intact.
