He was formerly Director of Sales for Omaha-based Walnut Media and before that was a Senior Account Executive for NRG Media in the Nebraska market bordering Council Bluffs, Iowa. Now, he’s leading a group of stations in Iowa’s state capital.

Taking the role as VP/Market Manager for Cumulus Media‘s Des Moines station group is Adam Dobbins. He’ll oversee Sports KBBG-AM 1700 (and its FM translator at 101.3 MHz), Classic Rock KGGO-FM, Country KHKI “Nash FM 97.3,” Country KJJY-FM, and Top 40 KWQW “98.3 The Vibe.”

Dobbins, who was honored by Radio Ink Magazine as Radio Wayne Awards Finalist for 2024 National DOS/Sales Manager of the Year, has also been an Account Executive for Rural Radio Network in West Point, Neb. He started his career as Director of Athletics Marketing for Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb.

Dobbins reports to Cumulus President of Operations Bob Walker, who said, “We are excited to welcome Adam to Cumulus Des Moines as this is a homecoming for him, having grown up in Des Moines and being a fan of our brands. Adam is an accomplished leader that is passionate about connecting local clients to the power of radio and the digital products we offer to help them grow their business.”

Dobbins commented, “Having grown up in Des Moines, I always admired the iconic local brands that Cumulus represents. My passion for the media industry has only increased over the years and I am truly excited to return home and collaborate with this team to leverage our audio and digital assets in driving results for our marketing partners.”

Dobbins succeeds industry veteran Jack Taddeo, who joined the stations in July 2018.
