Delta Media Corporation, which owns radio and television stations in Lafayette and Lake Charles, La., has moved forward with the purchase of an AM radio station with an FM translator licensed to New Iberia, La. At the same time, it is donating an Opelousas, La., and its FM translator to a religious broadcast entity run by a Mouton family member.
In the first transaction, Coastal Broadcasting of LaFourche LLC and Gisclair Properties of LaRose LLC have signed off on the sale of KANE-AM and FM translator K298CQ in New Iberia.
A $122,000 purchase price has been agreed to by the parties, with an initial payment of $50,000 paid to the sellers.
Concurrently, the Ann Maria Mouton-led Christ Our King Radio is receiving from Delta Media KSLO-AM in Opelousas and K258DQ in Lafayette via a donation agreement.
Signing off on both transactions for Delta Media is its Chief Financial Officer — Ryan Mouton.
