Courtside taps Compass Media Marketing

RBR-TVBR First: Compass Media Networks’ new Compass Media Marketing ad rep firm for the audio industry, and Norm Pattiz’s Courtside Entertainment Group announced CMM will manage national sales and distribution for Courtside.


Pattiz tells RBR-TVBR: “We’re moving our stuff over to Compass. But that doesn’t mean that we’re divorcing ourselves from Dial Global. Dial will continue to provide all of the back end for us, as they continue to do for Compass. Dial will also continue to handle our digital business, especially Loveline. But this reunites me with Kosann and Paul Gregrey [Compass Media Marketing President of Sales]. So you’ll basically have the former Chairman, CEO and Director of Sales at Westwood One (when the company was doing great) back together again.”

Compass CEO Peter Kosann tells RBR-TVBR: “Paul and I have known Norm for over a decade. He is building a very strong platform at Courtside and we are excited to work with Norm and his team.”

Former Westwood Regional Director of Affiliate Sales Rich Rapiti will be coming on board as well with Courtside, handling East Coast Talk and news programming affiliate clearances, in addition to Compass doing affiliate relations.
