A U.S. District Court judge has paved the way for “secure United States leadership in 5G,” according to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.
That’s because the New York-based judge on Tuesday released an opinion that paves the way for a mega-merger of wireless service providers Sprint and T-Mobile.
What it means for 5G rollout across the U.S. was shared by Pai, who cheered the rejection by the judge of a lawsuit designed to block the companies’ combination.
