US CongressThe NAB’s 2013 Congressional PSA Campaign is kicking off and running through the end of the year with participation of 244 members of Congress and/or their family members. The goal is to shed light on social and health issues.

The PSAs are for both television and radio, and come in both English and Spanish.

The professionally-produced spots are tailor-made for each legislator, focusing on topics of concern in their own jurisdictions.

“For more than 25 years this campaign has made it possible for lawmakers and their family members to directly address issues of concern to local communities,” said NAB Executive Vice President Dennis Wharton. “Public service is the hallmark of local broadcasting, and NAB urges radio and television stations across America to air these important pro-social messages.”

Among the topics covered are breast cancer awareness, cancer prevention, cyber bulling, distracted driving, fire prevention, mental health, support for returning veterans and volunteerism. They are available at the NAB Congressional PSA website, where information is available about accessing satellite feeds.
