Compass renews Greg Papa and Tom Flores for Raiders

Compass Media Networks announced Greg Papa and Tom Flores will continue for their 14th consecutive season as the radio voices of the Oakland Raiders Radio Network.


“We are thrilled to have both Greg Papa and Coach Tom Flores back in the broadcast booth for the upcoming season,” said Peter Kosann, CEO of Compass Media Networks. “Our goal is for their voices to be heard on the largest affiliate network in America.”

“It is an honor to continue to call the Oakland Raiders games,” said Greg Papa. “I look forward to a great season and to working with our new flagship stations in the Bay Area as well as our growing network of affiliate stations.”

Added Coach Tom Flores, “2010 promises to be an exciting season and I can’t wait to get back into the broadcast booth.”

Greg Papa was voted the California Sportscaster of the Year the last two years  by the National Sportscaster and Sportswriters Association. In addition to his work with the Oakland Raiders, Papa is the announcer for select San Francisco Giants on television and  has also served as the play-by-play voice of the Oakland As, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs.

Tom Flores coached the Raiders to Super Bowl victories in Super Bowl XV and XVII. A former NFL quarterback, Flores served as both coach and general manager of the Seattle Seahawks before joining the Raiders Radio broadcast booth in 1995.
