WASHINGTON, D.C. — With the Dec. 13, 2018, unanimous approval of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), the FCC initiated its 2018 quadrennial review of its media ownership rules.
Three rules are subject to review, and the Comment Date and Reply Comment Date were to be determined based on the publication date of the NPRM in the Federal Register.
The NPRM has now appeared in the government’s official publication of record, flinging the doors open to consolidation crusaders and those who oppose Big Media’s next pluck-and-tuck.
