Introducing The All-New RBR+TVBR InFOCUS Video Podcast

0

Five years ago, as the COVID-19 pandemic first arrived in North America, the broadcast media industry reacted and pivoted in myriad ways. So did the Radio + Television Business Report, which launched a special daily InFOCUS Coronavirus Podcast to keep the industry engaged and informed across a challenging period of 2020.

After several months, the RBR + TVBR InFOCUS Podcast was born from these COVID-19-era audio reports, placing a spotlight on the key newsmakers across Radio and Television, and including some of the nation’s foremost communications attorneys and financial pros. For five years, the InFOCUS Podcast, presented by dot.FM, has proven popular with industry leaders and RBR.com readers. Now, we are pleased to present the next evolution of our InFOCUS Podcast.

Streamline Publishing is proud to bring you the debut the premiere episode of the RBR+TVBR InFOCUS Video Podcast, thanks to the support of longtime sponsor dot.FM.

get.fm logoOur inaugural episode, which is roughly 25 minutes in length, features an interview between Editor-in-Chief Adam R Jacobson and Johnny Green Jr., the President and Regional General Manager for CBS overseeing both Boston and New York.

Green has been a part of the CBS family for a decade and in July 2021 rose from interim News Director to President/GM in New York. He added responsibilities in Boston in September of last year.

What is it like to oversee two major markets at the same time? How is Johnny able to properly balance the needs of those in each locale?

How actively engaged is Johnny in the conversations regarding CBS Boston and CBS New York local news coverage, the types of news that airs, and the revolutionary new weather reports championed at the company’s KPIX-TV in San Francisco?

Are there conversations about how to convince marketers that local news is “brand safe”?

These are just some of the questions Adam asks Johnny in the inaugural RBR+TVBR InFOCUS Video Podcast, presented by dot.FM.
