Until now, VP/GM Bob Longo has overseen Cox Media Group‘s two TV stations serving the “First Coast,” FOX affiliate WFOX-30 and CBS affiliate WJAX-47, in addition to the company’s seven-brand radio cluster.

As of today, Longo will now focus his duties on leading the two TV stations, as a new VP/GM for CMG’s radio stations in Jacksonville has been made.

Those duties will now be held by Katie Reid, giving her full oversight of Top 40 WAPE-FM, AC WEZI-FM “Easy 102.9,” Classic Rock WJGL-FM 96.9 “The Eagle,” CHR/Rhythmic WJGL-HD2 “Power 106.1,” News/Talk WOKV-AM & FM, Urban WOKV-HD2 “Hot 99.5″ and Alternative WXXJ 106.5.

“Katie is a dynamic leader who inspires her teams and everyone around her to reach their fullest potential,” said CMG EVP Bill Hendrich. “Paired with her extensive background and strategic vision, I am confident Katie and her talented team will continue to grow and deliver the best news and entertainment in Jacksonville.”

Reid was formerly Executive Director of Revenue at CMG, supporting sales teams across the company.

“I am very excited to continue my career with CMG and join the Jacksonville Radio team,” says Reid. “I look forward to partnering with this exceptional team to continue delivering great content that serves our audiences, advertisers and the community of Jacksonville.”

Longo added, “I am thrilled to continue to serve our Jacksonville viewers, lead our TV team and collaborate with Katie and our CMG Radio partners as we strive to deliver excellence for our employees, community partners and audience.”

Longo joined the CMG team in 2014 as a news director. He was promoted to GM in 2017.

In related news, Paul Briggs has been named VP/GM of Cox Media Group’s WFTV-9 and WRDQ-TV in Orlando.

He previously served as the VP of content and broadcast operations for Cox Media Group in Atlanta, overseeing the market’s TV, radio and newspaper brands.
