Cox Media Group has promoted its Director of Sales for its Houston radio stations to the role of VP/Market Manager. At the same time, its Director of Sales in Orlando will now serve as the VP/Market Manager of that radio station group.
In the Texas market, Stephanie Callihan will now lead a group of stations comprised of KKBQ “93Q,” Classic Hits simulcast “106.9 & 107.5 The Eagle,” and KTHT “Country Legends 97.1.” Callihan joined CMG/Houston in 2021 for the DOS role. Before that, she served as a SVP/Market Manager for the group of Austin stations owned and operated by Audacy Corp.; Callihan ran the stations when the company was known as Entercom.
Before that, from 2013-2015, Callihan served as VP/Market Manager for iHeartMedia in Wichita. From January 2000 through her move to Kansas in October 13, Callihan was associated with what were then the ABC Radio-owned stations in Dallas-Fort Worth.
“My journey to CMG has been a great one, and each step of the way has equipped me with the exact set of skills I need to lock arms and win with this outstanding team,” Callihan said. “The CMG team is poised to transform the radio industry, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Meanwhile in Central Florida, JC Campese is now in charge of a group of stations comprised of market-leading Classic Hits WMMO-FM, Urban AC “Star 94.5,” Country “K92,” News/Talk WDBO-AM, Spanish Adult Contemporary “Exitos 96.5,” and the HD multicast “Power Orlando” rhythmic Top 40 offering.
Campese is a 22-year CMG veteran who has served as Director of Events and Digital Sales Manager, rising to General Sales Manager before taking his most recent role.
“I’ve had the pleasure of serving a diverse portfolio of audiences and organizations and look forward to bringing those experiences forward in my new role with CMG,” Campese said. “I am beyond excited to take this next step.”
