Clear ChannelClear Channel announced the launch of “Evolution 93.5 Miami,” its second Electronic Dance Music (EDM) station. The new format is an extension of the “Evolution” channel on iHeartRadio.  W228BY-FM is 25 watts, with an HAAT of 512 feet—enough to cover Miami, Miami Beach, Coconut Grove and South Miami, the prime zip codes for the Miami EDM audience.

Programming will include “All Gone Pete Tong,” a live, two-hour daily show featuring the renowned DJ’s Essential New Tune of the Week, as well as hit songs from the global Top 100 chart on Beatport.com.

Songs include non-stop dance tracks by artists including Skrillex, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and more. Evolution 93.5 Miami will off its launch with two All Gone Pete Tong parties featuring Pete Tong, Evolution’s ambassador DJ on March 16 and 22, at The Surfcomber Hotel on Miami Beach from 6-9 p.m. ET.

In addition to Evolution 93.5 Miami, the broadcast will air live on Boston’s Evolution 101.7 and Evolution on iHeartRadio, and will include live mixes from Pete Tong, Skream and Eats Everything.  Rich with up-and-coming and iconic EDM names, the parties will also feature the likes of Tiga, Cedric Gervais, Tom Staar, Roger Sanchez, and a super secret cast of surprise, not-to-be-missed headliners.

Beginning 3/25, Evolution 93.5 Miami will air “All Gone Pete Tong,” a two-hour long daily show featuring Pete’s Essential New Tune of the Week, as well as the hottest tracks from the global Top 100 chart on Beatport.com, the world’s largest music store and community for DJs.  The show will broadcast Monday through Friday from 7-9 p.m. ET, and additional programming will feature Tong’s expertly curated mixes, on-air interviews and guest-hosted radio shows with world-class DJs and producers. Evolution 93.5 Miami listeners will be the first to hear exclusive content and will enjoy a robust variety of EDM, ranging from bass-heavy dubstep and moombahton, to house, techno and electro.

“It’s an exciting time in Miami when an entire radio station can dedicate All Things Dance programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week!” said Alex Tear, Vice President of Programming and Operations for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Miami.  “Miami is one of the hottest cities to experience dance music – and now that Evolution 93.5 Miami is here with EDM tastemaker Pete Tong, the party won’t stop.”
