Christian, Conservative … and Denied By The Media Bureau

A radio broadcasting company known for its conservative News/Talk and religious formats in Jacksonville, Fla., and in Richmond and Norfolk, Va., filed a Request for Waiver with the FCC in connection with its application filed in the FM translator Auction 100 filing window.

The request wasn’t welcomed by another party, which filed a Petition for Expedited Review of the waiver and a request for the application’s dismissal.

Upon further review and finding that the parties’ were both auction participants and determined to be mutually exclusive, the waiver was denied, leading the Media Bureau to toss application for the translator.
