PHILADELPHIA — It was no April Fool’s Joke. With a dash of “Morning Zoo” delivery style and a Delaware Valley focus offering an alternative to national network-delivered wake-up programs, Good Day Philadelphia debuted as the second quarter of 1996 began.
Today, the station — FOX Television Stations’ WTXF-29 in Philadelphia — is celebrating 30 years of waking up the region. On Wednesday, that saw a black tie gala attract a wide variety of local personalities, brought to viewers in a 60-minute special broadcast.
